All right, salmon it is. [He'll gently tug Asougi in the direction they need to go, allowing him to be able to look around as they walk. They'll eventually reach a row of stands selling a variety of seafoods, some familiar, some bizarre. He'll make the selection he wants as the seller wraps up his fish and puts it in a bag for him.]
I'm making a rice dish tonight, so if there's anything you want with your bowl, let me know.
[ As they walk, Asougi glances from stand to stand, taking everything in. He smiles a bit as Naruhodou picks out the fish, considering that for a moment. ]
Hmm. Well, you know what I like. [ And for once, he's not saying that due to his memory. Naruhodou does know what he likes. ]
Hmm, I could sneak in some beef slices...since I did eat that last piece. [And he should pick up some seasoning with a little more of a kick for him. He'll hold onto the fish for now as they move on towards where the vegetables are. This is where he runs into a problem. One hand is still holding onto Asougi's, the other is carrying the fish. He looks to his partner.]
Um, would you mind holding this while I pick through the vegetables?
[ On the one hand, he doesn't want to out of principle. On the other hand, Naruhodou will have to let go of his hand if he doesn't. In the end, he takes the bag. ]
It's still the meal you're making at the end of the day. It's more efficient to have you pick them out.
[ Reluctantly, he pulls his hand away from Naruhodou's since, speaking of efficiency and logic, that will help with all of that at the end of the day. ]
[That actually made Naruhodou pause to glance over at Asougi when couldn't feel his hand anymore.] . . .Right. [He shakes his head, turning back to resume his check on the produce. Admittedly, it is more efficient this way. By the end of it, he's got another bag worth of ingredients before moving on.]
[He looks in the direction he was indicating.] Mm, that's right. [He still has a free hand, so he's gonna take Asougi's hand once more as they move down the the path. There were a bunch of poultry walking around as they got closer, chickens, ducks, and a few other native birds. They were selling eggs of different shapes and sizes, from quail eggs to eggs the size of basketballs.]
I wonder what made that egg? [He hopes he never runs into whatever it is.]
. . .Maybe not. [He'll be the one to let go of his hand this time, so he could point out what he wanted. This continues on from stall to stall until Naruhodou eventually gets everything he needs from the marketplace. He may have bought a little more than necessary, but he had extra help today, so why not? Course by the end of the shopping spree, both of Naruhodou's hands were occupied holding bags. He didn't seem too bothered by it, in face he seem to be in high spirits.]
Ahhh, this has been the most productive shopping I've ever done! I won't have to make another trip in a while!
I...guess you have a point, but that doesn't mean there isn't room to discover something new. Everything I know is stuff that interests me or to keep me alive, and...well, I don't want to end up boring you with my stuff.

[ He seems slightly skeptical, raising an eyebrow as they approach the marketplace. ]

Ok, now the eggs and milk.

So that would be . . . over there, right?

That's good, isn't it? Well, I wouldn't mind helping you next time . . . provided you have a shopping list, of course.

I really appreciate the help.

. . . Well. I like getting to hang out with you.

[ That's not entirely it, of course, but it's easier, certainly. ]
