[He looks in the direction he was indicating.] Mm, that's right. [He still has a free hand, so he's gonna take Asougi's hand once more as they move down the the path. There were a bunch of poultry walking around as they got closer, chickens, ducks, and a few other native birds. They were selling eggs of different shapes and sizes, from quail eggs to eggs the size of basketballs.]

I wonder what made that egg? [He hopes he never runs into whatever it is.]

Is that a question you really want the answer to, Naruhodou?

[ He shakes his head, chuckling a bit. ]

. . .Maybe not. [He'll be the one to let go of his hand this time, so he could point out what he wanted. This continues on from stall to stall until Naruhodou eventually gets everything he needs from the marketplace. He may have bought a little more than necessary, but he had extra help today, so why not? Course by the end of the shopping spree, both of Naruhodou's hands were occupied holding bags. He didn't seem too bothered by it, in face he seem to be in high spirits.]

Ahhh, this has been the most productive shopping I've ever done! I won't have to make another trip in a while!

[ He's even holding some of it in one hand without complaint! A miracle! ]

That's good, isn't it? Well, I wouldn't mind helping you next time . . . provided you have a shopping list, of course.

Yea! I had to make so many more trips when it was just me. It really frees up my time this way. [As if he's actually busy. He smiles at Asougi.]

[ He smiles a bit, all his annoyance from earlier long since forgotten. ]

. . . Well. I like getting to hang out with you.

[He brightens at that.] You know, you can ask me if you want to do something. I don't have to be the one dragging you around everytime.

You know where everything is around here, though. And how this world works. It's only natural that you'd be the one dragging me around right now.

[ That's not entirely it, of course, but it's easier, certainly. ]

I...guess you have a point, but that doesn't mean there isn't room to discover something new. Everything I know is stuff that interests me or to keep me alive, and...well, I don't want to end up boring you with my stuff.

. . . I don't want to take up all of your time, either.

[ He says it in a matter-of-fact manner, giving him a bit of a half smile at that. ]

[He gives him a sideglance, frowning.] I don't think you're taking up enough of my time, to be honest. [He elbows him gently.] You're starting to sound like me now.

[ That gets a snort out of him. ]

Like you? Don't be rude, Naruhodou.

Well I mean, I'm usually the one trying not to inconvenience you, not the other way around. That's just strange to hear from you.

[exchangeable]

If you assume that, then yes, I imagine it would be.

[ryuwrighthistory]

[He mutters quietly] Then what do you mean? [He shakes his head.] The point is, you're my best friend, the friend I thought I had lost forever. If you're taking up my time then I'm glad that you are. [He lowers his head.]

. . .Because I missed this, I miss just being able to hang out with you.

[ He gives him a long look quietly and then reaches over to rest his free hand on the top of his head for a moment, sighing deeply. It's clear he's not actually annoyed or put out or anything though by the small smile forming on his face. ]

Alright, alright. I get it. We have a lot of lost time to make up for anyway, don't we?

. . .[He nods. The headpat is appreciated.] That's right. [He manages to return a smile. During this time, they'll reach their home.] Oh, could you get the door?

I can do that.

[ He lowers his hand, opening the door, and steps in to greet Wagahai. ] — yes, yes, we're back.

Thanks. Ah-hello, Wagahai. [His greeting was rather abrupt compare to Asougi's. As soon as he got inside, he immediately bolts for the kitchen to finally put down all these bags. Whew.]

Ugh, the marketplace needs to be closer. Hey Asougi, do you want some tea?

[exchangeable]

Mm, tea would be nice.

[ He follows Naruhodou into the kitchen, setting down the bag he'd been carrying next to all of Naruhodou's other bags. ]

All right. [He looks to the teapot in his hand and then to the mountain of bags.]

Here, just fill this with water and put it on the stove. I have to put the more temperature sensitive produce away.

[exchangeable]

Right.

[ He can make tea, okay. He fills the teapot with water and sets it down on the stovetop, glancing back over at Naruhodou. ] Did you need help with those?

I got it. [If by got it, he means playing tetris with the items in the fridge and cabinets, then yes, he got it.]

I see. [ He'll just lean back and watch Naruhodou go at it, then. ]

[How does anyone figure out where anything is in this kitchen is a mystery. Organization doesn't exist in here either, but an attempt was at least made. Spices would go into one cabinet and baking stuff is piled over on another shelf. Pretty sure the next time someone opens that cupboard, something's going to fall onto them.

Once finished, he'll leans against the counter, letting out some air. He rolls his head back.] We may have gotten more things, but that's even more stuff to put away.
