T-That's not it at all! You know it's not! [Stop. And the most aggravating thing about this is that he can't. He can't bring himself to tell Asougi to stop laughing, not with that kind of laughter that he hasn't heard from him in a long time. So instead, he's just scowls, scooping up some snow nearby and tossing it at him. Chill.]
-!! [Oh. He didn't think this through very well. After a moment, he'll match his friend's grin and picks up some more snow. There's no backing out now once Asougi gets going.]
I guess we are. [He immediately toss the snow in his hand so he could get up and put some space between him and Asougi.]
[ He was ready for that, whipping an underhanded snowball at him in the process. ]
Be ready to finish what you started, Naruhodou! [ And he's ducking behind something nearby, packing together another snowball before whipping it in his direction. ]
Ack-! [That snowball managed to hit him in the back of the head as he was running. But it's fine, he's not down for the count yet.]
Of--Of course I will! [He ducks behind a bush when another snowball comes his way. He didn't see where Asougi had hid himself, so all he can do is prepare some snowballs until he outs himself. It's a snowball fight, he can do this.]
[ It's quiet, too quiet — which means Naruhodou's planning something. There's no way he wouldn't rise to the bait like that. Asougi frowns, back pressed against his cover as he gathers up more snow. Knowing him, he's trying to figure out where he is, probably. And there's no cover that he can easily move to either, which means Naruhodou basically has him pinned down. ] . . . hmm. Well-played.
[ Leave it to his best friend to turn the situation around like that, and Asougi nearly walked head on into it. Well. That's fine. If Naruhodou had an idea of where he was, then he might as well go all out. Fortune favors the brave and all. Asougi snaps up, vaulting over his cover and making a rush for Naruhodou's position, armed and ready with snowballs. ]
(. . .That's odd. I haven't seen or heard anymore snowballs being tossed.) [He was waiting expectantly for them, but there was nothing. What he does hear are rushing footsteps, getting louder. Deciding to take the risk to look-]
[ONLY TO SEE ASOUGI SUDDENLY RIGHT ON TOP OF HIM] EHHH!?
[That was not what he was expecting, and he came armed with snowballs. Shit, of course he would go head on to catch him off guard. Now his mind has gone completely blank, forgetting whatever he was going to do. Despite that, his body starts to move forward, recognizing the situation and responding accordingly. He grabs him by the arm that was holding onto the snowballs, the other hand hovering under his chest.] Tooh!! [He slides under him, Using Asougi's momentum to his advantage and manages to toss him over and behind him, onto his back.]
[ The last thing Asougi had been expecting was for Naruhodou to not only grab him but flip him on his back. Asougi lays in the snow and stares up, completely dazed. Did that just happen? Did that seriously just happen? ]
. . .[Naruhodou was still standing there, looking just as dumbfounded as to what happened. What even happened?] ...Uh. [He slowly turns his head. The only way to confirm it is to look, and his best friend is totally just laying there on the ground.]
Aahhh! A-Asougi! [Holy shit, he just threw his best friend! He's quick to come right on over to him.] I'm so sorry! I--I didn't mean to--are you ok!?
[ He's still a bit dazed, hence why he's just laying there, but he's recovered enough now that when Naruhodou gets close enough and comes over to check on him, he wordlessly reaches up quickly to snag at his sleeve and yank him down. And if he yanks his best friend down in the snow, cool. If he yanks his best friend down on top of him, well. So be it. ]
Uwah! [How about partially both? Soon as he realizes Asougi was pulling him down, he tries to adjust so as not to fall completely on top of his friend. He only partially succeeds, awkwardly landing on top of him at an angle. The bottom half was in the snow, the top half on his friend. Least his face won't hit snow.
He looks up to Asougi, still looking rather guilty.] S. . .Sorry. . .
[ Asougi heaves a sigh, satisfied, and rests his hand on top of Naruhodou's back, patting at it tiredly. If it had been anyone else at any other time of the year, he might not have taken being thrown onto his back as well as he was, all things considered. But Naruhodou had used his momentum and didn't apply much force to it, and the snow cushioned the fall, so he was just going to be wet but not sore. ]
[He stares. He's...not mad? As he pats his back, the tension starts to leave him. Slowly he begins to relax. ]
A-All right. . . [He still feels bad though!!!! He's just...going to lay on his friend for a bit to get catch his breath.] You nearly gave me a heart attack though.
I thought we were having a snowball fight. . .[He moves himself to sit up next to his friend. His expression softens as he laughs a little.] I guess all those self defense lessons finally kicked in.
[He opens his mouth, but then closes it. Because he had to, it's just this one time, there were a bunch of excuses he wanted to argue back, but ends up not saying them.]
I. . .I suppose. [He looks to the side, looking bashful. It was an attempt to agree at least.]
I don't think it'd be that hard for you to do. When you're devoted to something, you really put everything into it. [He smiles faintly, glancing up to him.] And you're already a talented person yourself. I mean. . .I would look up to you when I needed to find my strength.
It's only because I have support from friends like you.
[ He smiles wistfully at that, leaning in briefly. They could go back and forth like this all night. ] . . . Come on. Let's head back in before we both catch a cold. [ If Naruhodou ever even gets sick, that is. ]
Ah, right. . .although you're more likely to get sick than me. [He grins at him for the harmless jab. He'll reach for Asougi's hand to hold onto before standing up himself.]

[ He doesn't seem too bothered by it all. He's almost proud of Naruhodou in a way, though he'd be prouder if he had tossed someone else. ]
