[He looks to the cup. Once he made sure it was empty, he nods.] All right, go ahead and lay back down. [He picks up a damp washcloth with his other hand. He's going to keep holding onto his hand.]

[ He sighs, slowly laying back again, but keeps holding onto his hand. ]

I told you, it's fine . . .

[ryuwrighthistory]

[He says nothing to that, going ahead and putting the washcloth on his forehead.] Just get some sleep. [He...still hasn't let go of his hand. In fact it doesn't look like he had any intention of leaving his spot.]

[ He notices that, glancing over at him quietly for a long moment. ]

. . . Naruhodou.

[ryuwrighthistory]

. . . [He squeezes his hand, lowering his head.] Sorry. [He knows what he's doing, what he should be doing rather than sit here, but he couldn't bring himself to leave his side.]

[exchangeable]

You have a good reason to worry, given what's happened in the past. But . . .

[ But it breaks his heart to see him in that state. ]

. . . [He takes a deep breath, slowly loosening his grip until he removes his hand entirely.] I should let you rest. [He gives him a firm response, to reassure his friend and maybe to himself. He moves to stand, his expression blank of emotion. It was just easier to cope, if he just empty his mind of nothing.]

[ For some reason, that hurts even more. He should just let him go, get on with things while he rests, but— ]

. . . Naruhodou.

[ryuwrighthistory]

[He stops, his heart aching when he calls out to him like that. He clutches his chest. Why did he have to call out again? He was set on his way, but now-]

H-Hey, you really need to rest. [He turns back around, putting on his best smile.] I'm fine, and I'm only a call away if you need me.

[exchangeable]

[ He's so tired, he should let him go and get some sleep himself, he shouldn't be selfish, and yet—

And yet, he can't help but reach out for him with a shaking hand. ]

[His eyes widen at that. It was like looking at someone reaching for their last life line. He's quick to run back over and hold his hand in both of his. It's still warm, still with life. He pulls his hand, resting it against his forehead as he sits back down.]

You're terrible. [He mutters under his breath. He doesn't mean what he says though.]

[exchangeable]

You never get sick. It's fine, isn't it . . . ?

[ It's more of a murmured response than anything else, though. Having Naruhodou close is warm, comforting. He squeezes at his hand, and it's still a strong squeeze despite everything. ]

[He lifts his head and looks to him. He was ok with this? He smiles faintly, shaking his head.]

Are you going to move over?

[exchangeable]

Alright, alright.

[ He scoots over a bit, just enough to make some room. ]

[ryuwrighthistory]

[He lifts the covers so he could get under them with Asougi. He then reaches over to adjust his washcloth and starts stroking his hair afterwards.]

[exchangeable]

[ He leans in to that, humming softly. ]

. . . that feels good.

[ryuwrighthistory]

[He smiles fondly, coming forward to kiss him lightly on the cheek.] I'll be right here. [He'll continue running his hand through his hair, his other hand still holding onto his friend's, pulling it close to his chest.]

[exchangeable]

[ He presses against him, and he's warm — not dangerously so, but definitely more than someone should be. ]

See, I told you I'd be fine.

[ryuwrighthistory]

[He scoffs.] You will be fine. [He says pointedly. He could feel that warmth coming off him. It's somewhat troubling, but he'll push it aside for now. He just needs to rest, then he'll worry afterwards.] Get some sleep already.

[exchangeable]

Mm . . .

[ He curls up a bit, dipping his head as he closes his eyes. It was nice with Naruhodou right there, at least. ]

[He slides his hand down, resting it against his cheek. His eyelids started to feel heavy. He didn't need to sleep, but now that he was in bed with his partner, he found himself dozing off as well. He lowers his gaze, moving his arm so he was hugging Asougi and then closes his eyes. Just a little nap, at least until Asougi is fast asleep.]

[ It would be hard not to fall asleep with how close Naruhodou was to him, and how gentle he was being. He drifts off after not too long, still breathing steadily. ]

[And there they slept, at least until a half hour passes. It's Naruhodou who actually wakes up and looks over to his partner to check on him. At some point, Shiro had apparently settled herself on top of Asougi and had fallen asleep as well.]

[ He's still sleeping — for now, anyway. His brow appears to be furrowed a bit, as if whatever dream he's having isn't the most pleasant dream in the world. ]

[And that has him a little concern. Was he getting worse? He slowly sits up, then carefully lifts the damp cloth just enough to press a hand onto his forehead.]
