[He manages to laugh a little, even a little smile. He lowers the hand on his forehead.] We won't hear the end of it though, once he finds out. [He leans forward to rest his forehead against Asougi's.]
. . .um, thank you for the chocolates, by the way. [His blushes once more. That's still not quite what he wanted to say. Now that they're here, he's not entirely sure how to proceed from this point.]
[ This is entirely uncharted territory for him. There'd never been time before — or maybe that's what he told himself as he threw everything into pursuing justice for his father, to the detriment of most everything else in his life. Even now, it feels like a quiet betrayal to his mission. But it also feels warm and comforting, like he's finally home.
He huffs softly, glancing aside. ]
You're welcome. [ He leans in just a bit, closing his eyes. ]
[Even if they just stay like this, he's content with it. They have to hide their feelings toward each other anymore. Even more so, it pleases him to see his best friend so relaxed.]
So uh does....does this mean I can sleep with you every night? [He starts drawing shapes on his chest, looking rather sheepish. He really did like having the warmth of another person sleeping beside him. It was just...well, awkward to ask without a reason.]
[He practically beams at that, there are even sparkles all around his head. But just as quickly as they appeared, they suddenly drop like beads as his smile turns into a frown, realizing something.]
You're going to force me out of bed every morning, aren't you?
The break of dawn is not reasonable. [Despite the bantering, he turns his head to rest it against his chest. There's that heartbeat, ever reminding him that his friend is still here, that this is still the reality.]
. . .but I guess it's all right once in a while, to be up at the same time as my boyfriend. [He lets it slip, testing the waters with the word. It felt foreign to say it, like he shouldn't be saying it at all.]
Eheh, well. . .[He leans back, smiling sheepishly] I just like staying in a nice warm bed, I guess. I mean, if nothing is going on, then there's no reason to be up so early, right?
[He lifts his head, looking to his friend now boyfriend for a moment. He raises a hand, pressing it against his cheek for a moment before running it through his hair.]
I suppose I wouldn't want to miss spending time with you. [He leans forward, nuzzling his nose against his. Their were so close. His cheek were flushed, and he could feel Asougi's breath against his skin. Several times they've gotten this close, but never fully commit, or maybe Naruhodou just wasn't sure if it was the right time to push forward.]
[He leans into the touch, closing his eyes.] . . .I thought things would be fine, after I told myself I wouldn't be seeing you again. It had been so long that it was starting to feel normal. [He comes forward, resting his head on his shoulder and pressing against his head.] Now I can't even imagine that life without you.
[He embraces Asougi once more, squeezing him gently and trembling slightly.] The more I spent time with you here, the more I realized what I had been feeling was love, that I wanted to share a part of myself with you.
[ As Naruhodou embraces him, Asougi shifts his position just a bit, so he can draw his arms around him in turn, pulling him in close and rubbing at his back quietly. He looks contemplative for a moment before he speaks again. ]
. . . I didn't realize it for the longest while. Or maybe I didn't want to, but. After everything else, ignoring it felt . . . [ His voice trails off. He'd always skirted around talking about his "death" and subsequent return to society and the world in general, but he'd be lying if he said that didn't affect how he looked at things. ] I couldn't. I didn't want to.
. . .You've been holding yourself back on so many things, because you were so focused on your mission back home. [He pulls back, resting a hand in his hair.]
Well, that's home and this is here. I think it's ok, to allow yourself some happiness while you're here, right?
[He closes his eyes, leaning into the touch. It was nice, to be able to fully enjoy this without worrying about whether he should or shouldn't be anymore. He lowers his hand to put it over his.]
Thought what. . .? [That could honestly mean anything.]
[ Which encompasses a lot of it, still. That Naruhodou would feel the same way, that he'd be open to it, that he himself would be open to it, that they'd even somehow get to this point . . . ]
. . .Because it wouldn't be back home. [Thinking about it more, it puts a frown on his face. This won't be forever will it? He's seen his descendant afterall. He shakes his head.]
It's not wrong though, is it? As long as we're both happy, why should it matter what should or shouldn't be?

Yes, Naruhodou. This means you can sleep with me every night.

[ But most, yes. He lifts a hand up to his head again, ruffling his hair lightly. ]

[He won't swat his hand away this time. He actually leans forward slightly, as if inviting him to continue to the gesture.]

[ He keeps his hand up there then, resting it at the back of his head. ]

Somehow, I feel like you'd say that no matter what. [ He draws his hand down, resting it on his cheek. ] But I'm not complaining.

Home will always be waiting for us. For now. . .we should make the most of our time here together.
no subject
Well. I won't argue with that sentiment. [ He lifts a hand to his cheek again, rubbing at it with his thumb idly. ] . . . I never thought that . . .
[ His voice trails off. There's a number of different ways he could finish that sentence, all of them true. ]
