. . .I did get a response from you though. [He's hung out with Holmes for too long. But he's going to just leave him with that, now giving him a genuine smile. He didn't seem any longer upset about whatever had happened earlier tonight.]
[He'll grab him by the arm as he passes.] . . . [It slides down to find his hand.]
I'm glad that you're here. [Truly, this is the most alive he's felt in a while. There's just something about Asougi that always brings out the most in him.]
[ That catches him off guard more than anything else had ever since he'd come back this evening. Asougi stares over at him and then nods slowly, glancing down at their hands. ]
I'm . . . glad to be here. [ A pause, and then he adds: ] And plan to be for quite awhile.
[He smiles, though it was bittersweet. Someday this world could just send Asougi home, or even himself, separating them again. It'd be entirely out of their control to stop it. He squeezes his hand, nodding. The sentiment is still at least appreciated.]
[Well in that case, he'll start tugging him towards his room, but then he realizes something, looking over himself.] Ah actually, I need to change out of this first. [He's not that tired to be caught sleeping in his day clothes.]
[With a nod, he'll let go of his hand and head off to his room. Once he got a changed of clothes, unceremoniously dumping his day clothes on the ground in the process, he'll call out to Asougi.]
You can come in now! [Naruhodou will be sitting on the bed, waiting for him.]
[ He steps in after a moment, journal no longer in hand. His eyes stray briefly over to the clothes on the ground, and then he shakes his head and sits down next to Naruhodou on the bed. ]
[The clothes are fine where they are ok? Don't judge. He'll immediately lean into Asougi once he was sitting down beside him. He doesn't really have anything to say at the moment, just happy having his friend's company right now.]
[ He leans in wordlessly, drawing an arm around him. It's gotten a bit warmer in the room at least, so that's good for the wintertime and everything. ]
[He smiles faintly, putting his arm around Asougi as well.]
. . . Let's find a task we can do together next time. [He wasn't saying that to remind him of what they were talking about before, just that he wanted to do something with his friend. It's funny that they haven't actually.]

[ Congratulations, Naruhodou — you've managed to fluster your best friend after who knows how long. ]

Don't worry, I won't tell anyone your secret.

[ What's with that look? What does he know. ]

[ He just stares over at him flatly.
like why, man. really. after all that, why? ]

So, we were going to head upstairs, right?

[ He just heads towards the stairs, scooping up his journal as he passes the other couch. ]

So...your room or. . . [He already knows how this is going to go. Neither of them or gonna be sleeping alone tonight, that's for sure.]

Your room.

[He looks to the journal in his hand.] Do you need more time to write anything else...?

[ But that's always true, for the most part. ]

[ It's a faint agreement, but he means it. Anything that doesn't end like this is good in his book at this point. ]
